I just got back from a three night OKW stay preceded by one night at the Pop Century. I have always liked the pop and have stayed there before. Never again!! Our plane arrived really late and we were dead tired and mousekeeping started knocking before 8 am to clean the room. I told her to come back later and at 9 she did, knocking again. I stumbled to the door and told her to come back after 11. She obliged. It was a little loud with people coming by the room on their way to the parks and I was awakened more than once. And yes, the toilets are very loud. Mildew in the grout in the shower. nuf said.

At OKW, we had a studio 1124 which backed up to the golf course. Nice view of the course and one of the hole thingys. Although it was apparent that the room was showing its age. Some items were missing and were promptly brought up to the room. The kitchen towel was folded accordian style over the kitchen faucet. When I grabbed it to move it out of the way, it was totally wet!! Kinda grossed me out.

There wasn't any hair, that my 42 year old eyes could see, but the tiles in the front of the toilet had been wore down to the point that they were a different color than the rest of the tile. And the bottom of the tub was stained or the porcelain was worn off in some areas. Showing its age quite a bit. The bathroom door had peeling on the top and bottom, not paint, but the top layer of the door. Apparently not solid wood. I am assuming that this studio was one of the older in the resort. Otherwise the room was fine in all respects and close to the Hospitality house.

The CM's at OKW were really really nice and lots of welcome homes! A refurb of that building is probably in order soon and should solve some of these problems. Very relaxing resort overall. The landscaping was beautiful!!

Glad you enjoyed the resort! We love it there. I was wondering, being close to the HH as #11 is, did you ever have any trouble getting a parking spot?

We didn't rent a car, so I don't know, but I bet that might be a problem for those that do have a car. The location is great for getting to the hospitality house but we were the last stop coming home from the parks each day. However, it was much better than when we stay at the BWV or BCV and the bus takes FOREVER..... When I go this december, we are staying at the BWV and then VWL, but I am renting a car.
