Room ready text

When did you receive your text that your room was ready? We didn't do on line check in last year but DS got his on magical express.

I have heard of people getting their text before they even land in MCO, normal check-in is at 3 so could be early or could be at 3.

I usually opt for the email instead of the text, but I found that if I give them my actual arrival time that I wasn't getting my email until after that time. So I started telling them I was arriving 2-3 hours earlier than I really am, and now I get the email about 30-60 minutes before my actual arrival time. That makes it so much easier to go directly to the room without going to the front desk. If it matters, my actual arrival time is usually between 4:30 and 5:00pm, so I give them a 2pm arrival time and I've been getting the emails between 3:30 and 4:00. When I told them 4:30, I wasn't getting the email until 5:00-5:30, which necessitated a trip to the front desk.

Just back.
Online check-in I put 8 am arrival time.
I made two requests but checked box that a ready room was more important than the requests.
At 6:53 am I got a text my room was ready, room number and all requests were met.
Happy camper.

We drive and usually arrive around noon. On our last 2 visits I indicated that our arrival time would be 11:30 a.m. On trip #1 we got a text at 10:15 indicating our room was ready and we could go straight to it when we arrived. I made very basic room requests on that trip (top floor, close to transportation). On trip #2 we got a text at 10:10 indicating our room was not yet ready and they would notify us via text as soon as it was. I had used Touring Plans room request fax service and requested a specific room -- though I indicated that we didn't need that specific room and that we were just hoping for something in that hall/area on the first floor. We were only about 30 minutes away from Disney at that point but needed to stop at Walmart for a few things so we wasted some time there hoping that we'd get our text. An hour later we still hadn't received the room-ready text but decided to head to Disney awhile figuring we could eat lunch there while waiting for our room. We walked into the front door of the resort at 11:55 (figuring if there was no line at the front desk I'd check on our room before heading to lunch) and received the text that our room was ready. We got all of our requests.

I got it as we were waking to ME. But when we drive I got it about 30 min before the arrival time I put when I checked in online.

My last 2 trips it was when I was on Magical Express. Both met my requests. One was around 3:00 and the other around 1:00.

Never before I arrive, but it has been ready a time or two and there have been times it hasn't been ready until around 5. I never make any requests except early check in around 1 since I drive and I know I'll be there around 2:30 - 3.

NEH-VER.

In all our many trips since they've implemented online check-in and the texting, we've never gotten our room texted to us. We've always had to go and check-in at the desk (always arrive round 3:30pm). And sometimes we've had to wait past 4pm for a room at all.

I've only used online check-in once, last year (don't know what took me so long to start using it!). As soon as my flight landed at 10am, I got a text that my room was not quite ready yet. I got another text before getting on the DME bus, saying my room was ready and with the room number. That was about 30 minutes later.

I've had that text arrive as we were taking off in Boston! Other times I never got one.
Now with online check in not asking when you plan to arrive (if using DME) we may not see those really early texts anymore.

This year we had a split stay. The first part of our stay was at AKL. Our flight was scheduled to land at MCO at 1215am and I put our ETA as after midnight. I received our text at 830 in the morning that our room was ready. I had made one request, Kudu Trail View, and received it. That was a very long day!

The second part of our split stay, we stayed at POR in a River View Royal Room. I put our ETA as 11am. We were just doing DS that day, so I was hoping the room would be ready before we headed out. It wasn't. We spent a few (very hot) hours at DS and finally around 1pm decided to head to the bus. As we were waiting for the bus we got the text - so a little after 1pm.

Then we went on a cruise and stayed at POFQ for one night after. I put our ETA as 10am. I was again hoping our room would be ready so we could drop all of our luggage, but I received a text on the DCL bus that our room wasn't ready. We stopped at bell services and dropped off all of our bags before we headed to the MK. At 2pm we got a text that our room was ready.

On our April trip we got a text at 4pm EST that our room was not ready. We were still in the Nashville airport. Never got a second text the room was ready and just went to the desk on arrival.

Out of my last three trips......

Two arrived before I even got to the airport (Those are painful, BTW, because you are sooo excited and really want to get there, and now your room is ready and you're still hours away!) and one I received when I turned my phone back on after landed.

I got all of my requests two of the three times.
