Room Ready at Both Resorts by 8:00am...a First

Last week our room at Kidani Village was ready by 8am...amazing. The only glitch was front desk issued our keys before housekeeping supervisor had inspected the room. We had our first load in room and were returning with second load when we encountered housekeeping outside the room. It threw her to find belongings in the room. We are OKW this week in a renovated one bedroom ..ready by 8am. The floor looks nice but I do prefer carpet in living area. We choose our resorts according to what we want to do. No parks this trip FYIOur first trip to Disney was in 1976. We are here 3-4 times a year.

I love to get into the villa early because when it happens, it seems like an extra day was added on to the stay.

I'm very happy to hear that they have inspections on the rooms. Up until now it's been speculated whether or not inspections existed. As for them giving you access to the room before inpections, that sounds like another training issue. Someone entered the room status wrong into the software.

OP, did you do "online checkin"? Generally when I do that I get my room sooner. Also, did you have any requests? Did you get them?

So you're in the category of "been there" "done that"! I've been going to Disney since it opened in 1971 and since buying into DVC, I love those non park vacations too!

WDW is constantly changing and we are so glad we did many of the "been there done that" things as they are no more and simply wonderful memories. I grew up going to Disneyland.

When we checked into BCV last month at 10:30am...our 2BR was ready. We couldn't believe it!!

We'd moved over from Kidani Village in our swimsuits, beach bag in hand, prepared to spend the morning & afternoon by SAB while we waited for our room. What a surprise!!

We have NEVER got in before 4 PM. Good thing was we have over the last 7 years NEVER had a bad room. We stay at either OKW, SSR & BWV the most.

When we checked in last week to bwv our 1 bed was ready at 7am!!!!!!
We were delighted with all the service at bw.

Last month, we were able to get into our rooms early at BCV (9:30am) and BLT (12:30pm). Both times, we ran into housekeeping supervisors doing inspections as we entered the room.

The housekeeper had not swept the patio at BCV, and the supervisor apologized to us because it was missed. She had the housekeeping do it and apologized again. (We would've never noticed.) The room at BLT was spotless.
