Room question!!

Friends of ours want to go to Disneyworld. They are not DVC member but want to pay for a Deluxe Studio or 1 bedroom staying at Saratoga Springs. They haven't decided if Deluxe studio or 1 bedroom works better for them. They will have three adults and 2 children ages 8 and 5. Can five people sleep in the deluxe studio or 1 bedroom? I told them that I didn't think they could but just wanted to make sure!! Thanks

If using DVC points (ie a rental) 5 can sleep in any 1BR (except the smaller AKV Value sized rooms) and studios at VWL, Poly and VGF.

1BR at BLT and Kidani have 2 full bathrooms, and a sleeper chair for bedding for 5.
OKW , Jambo and VGF 1BR also have an additional bed for 5. All orther 1BR is "bring your own bedding and towels for the 5th person"

For a cash booking, it looks like you are limited to the official sleeps 5 studios and 1BR I listed.

I suppose I should mention that the studios and VGF 1BR all have a smaller-than-twin pull down Murphy bed, that would probably not work for the 3rd adult.

If booked by a DVC member using their points ... For a 1BR Yes (but bring your own air bed, sheets and extra towel)
SSR studios do not sleep 5.


If booked cash through Disney or an RCI trade, no SSR unit less than a 2BR sleeps 5.

They were planning on booking it just on Disneyworld.com. I told them I didn't think a deluxe studio or 1 bedroom could sleep 5 people. Thank you so much!!

If they book directly through Disney I don't think they can book five into a studio or 1BR at SSR. The studio at SSR has one queen bed and one full size sleeper sofa. The 1BR at SSR has a king bed in the master bedroom and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living area so in either case, there is no place for a 5th person to sleep.

If a SSR 1BR is booked with DVC points, they will allow a 5th person on the reservation but you have to bring your own air mattress, sheets, blanket, etc. and would have to purchase a towel pack for $6 to get enough towels for all five guests.
