Room Perks with the Magic Band?

My party was invited to test out the new Magic Bands and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a room perk involved with this? We were thinking that if they updated some of the rooms to grant access with the bands, is it the preferred rooms they updated first? Any insight would be awesome!

Don't "think" so.

The bands should work with all RFID locks already installed.

This is what I think also, they've already installed new RFID locks that will work with either KTTW card or Band.

As far as I know, ALL rooms at WDW are now RFID capable.

I believe you are right. And preferred rooms are a paid category of room. I doubt they will just give those away to everyone with a magic band.

I think this is just another way to ask the ultimate question that is asked all the time in so many different ways......will I get a free upgrade?????

As the previous poster stated, they are pretty much done all at once.

We were at POR in mid-June and the entire complex was already completed by then.
