I chose location of the resort. It's all about the Epcot Resorts location for me, including the Swan & Dolphin.

I chose other. Other than AoA we can't stay at a value with 5 & so we are already limited. After that it's a numbers game - a resort that appeals to us without breaking the bank.

Right now while I am still dragging a double stroller and small kids location is important. I am hoping our next trip (2017) we will stay at AKL. This year's trip is at BLT because I need the location.

Location :) Love our Contemporary for the ease to MK - as daughter gets older though, we're thinking of branching out next trip to stay on the Epcot side so we can walk to Epcot & boat over to HS. The sand bottom pools though are a problem.

Other - the price & the pool factor heavily in our decision. Out of the two choices (room or location), the room is more important.

A small section of Storm Along Bay has the sand bottom. It's very easy to avoid if it's a problem.

Thank you! This is the 2nd time I got incorrect info from a CM over the phone. SMH. At least I'm over a year away from a booking, so no harm no foul. =)

Once I close my eyes to sleep, a room is a room. I don't do anything in the room except sleep, shower and get dressed anyway. Location? I board a bus and patiently await arriving at my destination. Yes, I said patiently!

We almost always pick POR as our resort since we love the grounds and it feels like going home.

I voted location. Being close to Epcot and HS is very important to me. Next of importance is being directly on the Boardwalk with a Boardwalk view.

Location, location, location! Lol I don't just want to be close to one of the parks, I want to see it from the resort! I think every single WDW resort has something to offer in one way or the other. But for our family, being close to MK and Epcot is paramount. Being on the monorail or being within walking distance of one of those parks is extremely important. My wife is a teacher so we only visit WDW during the steaming hot summer months. Being able to hop on the monorail or boat and get quickly back to the resort makes our vacation much more relaxing and convenient.

I am a look of the room and resort and also the pool type of person. I love all 3 of these things in The Wilderness Lodge.

I picked Other, because for us it's a combination location and the overall theme of the resort.

I'm wondering which you find more important when picking your WDW resort. For instance, I love the looks of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but it is so far to one side of the whole WDW area, that I'm not sure I would ever stay there. And while I love the location of the Boardwalk Studios, they look pretty blah.

So which is do you find the be the deciding factor when choosing your resort, the location of the resort, or the look of the room itself?
I agree with you on AKL. Im not sure i'd ever stay there either....looks like a lovely place, but since im paying deluxe prices, I'd expect some transportation perk. There are no benefits to staying there other than it being a nice place. Apparently you cant even walk from AKL to AK, there's no walkway/path. With BC/YC you can walk/boat to both HS & Epcot. For monorail resorts, you have the monorail obviously. WL has the boat to MK. But for AK, there's nothing! If im paying deluxe prices, i'd want something more than just a bus. Ok rant over. :teeth:

I'd be happy with either location of the room or resort. Given the choice, i'd ask for a better located resort.
