Hey guys ! just returned from Disneyland and now planning our Disney world trip for 2019. Date I am unsure of either May/June or Decemeber (opinions?)

My question is about rooms. Should we book a suite at AoA or get two rooms at the All Star Movies/Music?

At time of travel it will be hubby myself and 5 kids (10.8.6.4.2)

I would think 2 rooms may be better for your situation at a resort.

2 rooms will give you 4 beds. AoA suite only has 3.

I thought you could in your situation being that there are only 2 adults and the rest are minors?

As @dansdad says that is one adult. And there have been enough folks on here to report they didn't get connecting, some not even adjoined. Disney will try but there is no guarantee.

I always say if you go ahead with the two rooms, pack your suitcases as if you will be split up. If you aren't, great, but if you are .... no moving & swapping stuff around.

To OP:

I would look at the AoA Suite or to save money the ASMusic Suite.

Unless you want to deal with Star Wars and Christmas, do May/June.

But if you wanna have a very wookiee christmas....no judgment here.

Would a Cabin in FW work for you? I cannot remember how many can sleep there, but woth thte little on under 3, it might be an option.

6 plus a baby fit. Queen Bed, Bunk Bed, Sofabed.

Is onsite hotel a requirement? You probably have more options off site. What about renting a DVC if you have to do onsite.

I want to stay onsite for all the perks (transportation ect.) since we wont be renting a vehicle and wont be travelling with car seats !

Maybe ill have to check out the music suites and the cabins ! we will be renting a single (or double) not sure yet stroller for while we are there !

Just know with cabins you have to walk down your road to a bus stop, catch and internal bus either to the boat dock and transfer to boat to MK OR the outpost where you check in and transfer to another bus to other parks. We ended up driving everywhere.

Music Suites are not even close to AoA Suites but since you mentioned Music as an option I put it out there. And it should cost much less.

The suites at the Music are quite a bit cheaper than the suites at AoA. and you still get 2 bathrooms and kitchentte.

Not really needing anything fancy for a room as we use it for sleeping and that's about it !!
a fun pool for the kids is always nice to. Never have we been to Florida in may/june so not sure what the weather will be like but I am guessing swimming weather !

I would do either the All-Stars suites or the art of animation suites. With your kids ages I would probably do art of animation because the theming of the rooms are really fun and the pool options are better.

If you can swing it, I would do the AoA suite over ASMu. I would definitely book a family suite over two rooms because of the risk of not getting connecting rooms.

One thing to keep in mind, by later 2019 the gondolas will definitely be operational at AOA. That might be nice for you guys since you aren’t supposed to need to fold up strollers!

Call the Swan/Dolphin and ask what they want for a one or two bedroom suite for your dates.

You might be shocked at how affordable it is, and you’ll pay only one resort fee for the entire unit.

You can’t get the Magical Express or the dining plan, but the resort is really luxurious.
