What are my room options if we have 5 people? Two adjoining rooms or am I better off with a suite? I would prefer two verandah rooms. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

A Category 4 Family Stateroom will sleep 5 and it would have a verandah. Otherwise you would need to go with a suite or two staterooms. If you choose to go with two rooms, keep in mind that the first two people in any cabin pay full adult fare so you would have to pay that rate for two of your children (I am assuming that you are travelling with children). This can get cost-prohibitive, especially if you decide on two verandah staterooms.
Some people like to do one verandah stateroom and an interior stateroom just across the hall. Of course if your kids are very young this probably wouldn't work for you unless the adults were willing to split up as well.

Hope this helps.

We have three kids. It was much cheaper to do two adjoining 10's rather than the category 4. This also gives DH and I some alone time. Kids can sleep in the next room!!

We were in a cat 4 with 5 and will do 2 rooms next time. When the beds are opened up, getting to the verandah means climbing over whoever is in the murphy bed. Also consider 5 people, 1 shower. The split bathroom makes it easier but with older kids, 2 showers will be much better.
