The Dobie family is going to go to Disneyland this summer, since Allegiant Air has announced new, cheap, nonstop fares from the Tri Cities!!!!

I am tempted to make a room only reservation for either GCH or DH, since they are on sale for our dates. But, I might want to save those few hundred bucks difference and spend them on things like Fantasmic Dessert, and just stay at the Sheraton.

Does anyone know the refund policy for room only? I got frustrated by the Disney web site.

Thanks!!

I believe full refund if you cancel 5 days in advance.

I read that in yesterdays paper. This is great news at max $80 one way this will be a big help for those weekend quick trips without going through a hub. I do not like MD90's!!!!!!!
I paid upfront for 1 night with a 5 day cancellation.

Both 3Minnies1Mickey and Jack are correct!

For Room Only reservations (unless something has changed recently), you have to put down at least one night's deposit (plus 15% tax) up front. Of course, you may choose to pay the whole thing up front - it's up to you - but they just require one night plus tax when you book the room. Then you pay for the remaining nights and the additional 15% tax per night, PLUS the $12 per night "Resort Fee," PLUS another 15% added onto the Resort Fee, when you arrive!! (Resort fee with tax included comes to $13.80 per night, on top of the room rate plus tax.)

You can cancel all the way up to 5 days before your scheduled check-in date with no charge or penalty of any kind, and get a full refund. If you cancel inside of the 5 days, there is a penalty.

You can also change your reservation and make amendments to it without a penalty fee (like let's say you booked the GCH for one weekend, and then decided to change it to the following weekend, or let's say you booked the GCH without a discount of any kind and then suddenly came across a discount after the fact and wanted to apply it to your reservations). I once took a GCH reservation and totally re-worked it - I changed the dates, I added an extra night, I changed the type of discount I was using...and then I changed hotels from the GCH to the PPH - all without a penalty fee!!:rotfl2: (They were probably ready to kill me, though!!)

Thanks everyone!

I think I will book either GCH or DLH (we have never stayed at DLH before) AND the Sheraton and just decide how poor we are before we go! This is trip number 3 for me for the summer, so I will be funding it with a bake sale or something!!!
