Room only payment

I have q room only reservation. I know the balance owed is due at check in. If I check in online, will this automatically be charged to the card on file? I have some gift cards I'd like to use, but could hold them for later in the trip if needed. Just trying to plan and not have to call and read off all the numbers.

You can actually enter gift cards into a disney vacation account now to keep them all in one place. I don't know a lot about how it works but they seem to be really popular.

I strongly recommend you call CRO 5 days prior to your arrival date and have them apply the gift cards to the account. I actually do the same thing and just started using the vacation savings account too. For the Vacation savings account it works as gift card payment and you give them your special account number. Not sure if it is available but there was an automated option to give credit number or gift card number to apply to room balance. I had huge problems with it. It said it applied payment and didn't but wiped out balance on Disney gift card. Took 2 supervisors to untangle that mess.

Yes, they automatically charge the credit card on file. We usually have a room only reservation and always do online check in. Our credit card on file has been charged before we even leave the Orlando airport. So don't expect them to wait until you check in to the resort before they charge your credit card.

I have heard of this happening. Now I make sure I pay off my room before I head to Orlando.
