room only offer starts October 8

I called this morning to apply the Disney Visa discount to my reservation. I had a room and tickets package. I was hoping to get a room only discount and then add the dining plan. I spoke to 3 different CM's and they are telling me I cannot do that, I can only get the "package" discount when I add the dining plan which comes out more expensive than what I was anticipating.

I know in the past I have had no issues doing this - we are staying deluxe (WL). Has anyone else been able to successfully get the room only discount with tickets and dining plan and still get the % off the room portion?

You absolutely CAN have a RO discount on a package - it just discounts the room portion.

SPD is good 1/5 - 3/5.

RO is 1/5 - 4/12 with 3/6 - 3/13 being slightly less of a discount.

I don't know about all of February, but the marathon weeked was NOT blacked out for me. I just got 25% discount at CBR - upgraded from AoA LM room and actually saved $15!! Good luck to everyone

I just called and had a 25% RO discount applied to my existing reservation at POR for the end of January. No wait time on the call and the CM knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned the Disney Visa promotion.

Thank you! I called back and had them give me the room discount + ticket package and i got 35% off the room rate. the CM told me to call back at a later date to add dining so hopefully that will work.

I booked a package for 2/8- 2/15 this morning at POP.

I asked for a discount but don't know which one she applied. Is there a way to tell on the reservation or do I need to call back?

I thought SPD would be cheaper than the price I got so maybe I got the room only?

You can see if you can spot a package code on your Walt Disney Travel Company reservation.

The Visa code for values for stay/play/dine is JJQ.

The code for the Visa room discounts is JHO.
