Room Only Discounts

Hi folks,
Bit if a newbie & hoping this goes in the correct section but I'm seeking some advice with regards to room only discounts.

The discounts shown through Mousesavers, are they for US residents only or are they also available to UK & Irish guests? These are the rate discounts that seem to be released around the start of October, going by the Mousesavers historical data.
Has anyone booked rooms & then tried to retrospectively apply these discount rates?

Are there specific UK offers that run in tandem with the US offers or are things released at completely different times?

UK and USA offers are different and released at different times. I believe if you pay in $'s through a U.S. travel agent you can access the U.S. deals. That wouldn't include a UK 14 day ticket though. The deals work differently. The UK has historically offered room only deals after the free dining deal. I can't remember exactly when they come out but in 2013 I got 30% off AKL booking in February for a May trip.
