We are staying at the Poly June 5-12th and booked our room with a package.

If a June "room only" discount comes out maybe sometime in April/May am I not eligible for this discount? Or can I have it applied or get the Disney $ back upon checkin?

Please let me know. Don't want to have my hopes up, if I can't even use it:confused3

Thanks

:goodvibes "Room only" discounts do not apply to packages, but are a separate res type (no tickets, no DDP on room only ressies). You would have to modify your package to a room only res, and then purchase your tickets separately - you'll also lose any DDP as it is only available with a package.

Here's what mousesavers shows about this: "Room-only" discounts (i.e., AAA, Annual Passholder, Florida resident, general public discount codes) cannot be used with vacation packages.

Also, of course no one knows about this year, but last year the June "room only" discount was only offered to AP holders and Florida Res, and didn't include the Poly:

For check ins between 6/3/07-8/4/07 Annual Passholder room-only rates for Deluxe/DVC resorts became available on 5/16/07, exp 8/4/07

For check ins between 6/3/07-8/4/07 Florida resident room-only rates for Deluxe/DVC resorts became available on 5/17/07, exp 8/4/07

Here's what the ad showed:

If I was you ;) , if a deal comes out that I qualified for (AP/FL Res, general public) I'd price it out both ways, and then go from there.

If you would save lots of $$$ (including any package cancellation fees), and if you get the resort you want (or could live with) and if you don't mind losing the DDP, I'd modify the res to room only and have them apply the difference back to my credit card. Then I'd think about getting the tickets - maybe at Undercover Tourist to save even more?

What you really need is for a package deal to open up for your dates, then you can easily modify your res to that! WDW do you hear us - we need a package deal for June for mousescrapper please  :cheer2:

with room only discounts, if you buy your tickets elsewhere, can you still take advangtage of EMH's?

Yes, as long as you are staying onsite at a Disney resort - here's a previous post about this:

Q = We are planning a trip for Dec. 29 thru Jan. 1. My questions is - If you book a room only and buy tickets from some place like undercover tourist can you still do the EMH's? I guess I mean does getting EMH's come with staying on property and not with the tickets or do you have to buy the whole shabang to do EMH's? I hope I haven't confused anyone.

A = It comes from staying on property. When you get your wrist band for the extra magic hours, they check your room key, nothing else.

A = As long as you can show you are staying on Disney property, you are eligible to stay for EMH. You must show your room key at one of several locations to obtain a wristband.

A = Your ticket will look like any other ticket, there is no markings on them that they came from an outside agency.

Gotcha... so you would just then at that point, have 2 seperate tickets, one park ticket and then on Room key
