Room only discount code club

Okay, I'm almost afraid to post this in case I'm wrong, but here goes. Just went to the Disney site and noticed under Tickets and Prices, there's something that says Getaways and Magic Your Way Vacation Packages. There are several things listed under that, but one is something about a room only. It has specific travel dates and they do go into 2012. Now, unless I did something wrong, the price for a 6 night stay at BC from 2/1 to 2/7 came out to $2318. When I did it again without using the Getaways link, it comes out to $3460. I'm going to go back and do it again, but I was so excited to get it posted here. The odd thing is that it's more than 30%, but less then 35%. I found that kind of weird; that it didn't come out to a "round" number. I know so many people are hoping for a RO discount. I hope I'm right and don't get everyone excited for no reason.

NEVER MIND!!! I just re-did it and discovered the higher price included park tickets even though I said I wanted a price for only the room. So now I don't get it. Why is this on there as some kind of special for only certain dates when it isn't any different?

Are you sure that you didn't do a package to get the price difference? I priced out a room in 2012 and it came out the same price both ways.

That's what happened. I thought I said I wanted room only, but it added park tickets. I think I got so caught up in the excitement that I didn't want to double check until after I posted. I've learned my lesson.

Where are you seeing those offers :confused3

It's at www.disneyworld.com under Tickets and Packages. But again, there was no special, no deal. But yet it says: The number of rooms available for this offer may be limited. Minimum length of stay requirements may apply.

I don't get what the "offer" is and why the number of rooms may be limited.

"Limited" to 22,000 rooms.:rotfl2:

It is kind of like the pin codes I get for Rack Rate. It is to make you think there is a deal.

AK may have a ton of club level rooms available - we just canceled ours for 10/12-10/17 last night. We're headed in Oct and decided it wasn't worth the full price - we changed to POFQ (which we've never stayed but saved $1300!) knew there was a chance of no discount, but didn't really think there wouldn't be ANY discount for our dates.

and they actually HAD availability at POFQ for that date? I'm surprised at that actually, maybe its just the week starting 10-15 that's full though I guess

Just received a pin code for Sundays-Thursdays in October. A whooping 10% off. Wish it had been a 30% deluxe.

Yeesh. Will you at least be able to use it for your dates?

Probably not. We were originally going just to disney but because we didn't qualify for FD and there was no RO we moved the first part of our trip to Universal. Those were the days covered in the pin lol.

I just called to get some prices and had a pin code on my name! So definitely call and ask. I was calling for Oct 14-17, it was for 25% off mods and 35% off deluxe, I forget what it was for values. I'm so excited, and so glad I called just to check! I ended up booking Wilderness Lodge. There wasn't alot of availability, however-just ASSports, Coronado, POR, WL and AKL. And mostly off of preferred/water view rooms. I did get woods view at WL though. Good luck!

Would you mind if I asked how much woods view was? We usually do standard, but the way things are going, I doubt they will have those rooms available when discounts come out for early 2012.

It was a little over 230 with the pin code. I believe courtyard was about 270. They did not have standard available, anywhere. It seemed this way when I've gotten pins in the past as well, seems they dont discount those as often.

They don't discount those as often because they tend to book faster. PINs or not, there is usually less availability for standard rooms at any resort.

Yup, I'm waiting for a room only for next August. The "free" dining doesn't do it for us either - we've never seen the sense in it! So, can I join the club too?? :)

Hello! New to all this PIN business :confused3 Do PINs get offered to the UK too? Not sold on the free DDP as would like to eat outside of the "world" for half of our 17 night stay! When you say you can call Disney to see if there is a PIN assigned to your household can people in the UK do the same? It will mean the difference between booking a Disney hotel or not for us as the flights over to you guys are so much more expensive than the last time I visited the mouse in 2005:scared1:
