Room only discount code club

When I called on the weekend to pay off my resort , I asked a very nice and talkative CM if she had been told of any over-time hours coming up. She laughed and said she had been on them ever since FD and AP discounts had come out and that it has barely slowed down since then. She also said the same thing regarding the possibility of a GP RO discount coming, that being, she didn't see the need for it since the rooms have filled up without it.

I realize the CM's are also kept in the dark about discounts, but their stories seem to have changed from 'check the website often for discounts' to 'I'm not sure one is coming'.

Blahhhhhhhhhh ! I've come to the conclusion its not happening for me my week is jammed full Oct 15-22 but was still hoping for you all for similar dates that sucks. Like I've said before I knew nothing about discounts and PIN's before BBC or here so I'll just keep pretending I'm in the dark lol

I've all but lost hope:headache: but it does seem that my week (well all but the first 2 days) still has a lot available under free dinning for value, mods and deluxe. It seems that discounted up-grade pin people are getting is a big hit, maybe that is the route Disney is going to take on future discounts:confused3.
Well, all I can do is wait and see, we are going either way but it would have been nice to have a few extra $$ in my pocket to spend.

I'm feeling very discouraged as well. The thought of paying rack rate is so discouraging, makes me want to look at staying offsite (except I don't want to rent a car). Values seem to have rooms for my dates, I just need a code!

That's why I paid mine off this weekend. I was so discouraged with no discount being offered that I figured if I paid the full amount off now before I had to, at least I was doing it on my own without being forced when the 45 day deadline arrived still with no discount.

Now, if there is a discount, it will be a very welcommed bonus, and they can credit my CC. If there isn't a discount, well....I don't even want to have to think about that when I reach my 45 day mark.

This was the information I received earlier today when I called in to make a change to our reservation. I talked with a great CM for quite a while. He was very friendly and quite helpful.

It seems that the resorts are getting pretty full. I asked about any potential room-only discounts coming out for the fall and he said that Disney was definitely scaling back discounts. He felt that with the level of occupancy currently booked and based on what he was hearing, he felt that what was out for the fall right now was probably about it. He did say that he could be way off base, but he wasn't anticipating any room-only discounts to hit the couple of dates that we needed.

Rats! I will keep my fingers crossed though.

That seems off base. Yes, there are some weeks that are very full. But others are not at all. The GP discount will come.

I'm still not buying the conclusion. It's possible but I'm not convinced. But I would definitely take that to mean no Overtime announced. So we're probably looking at next week rather than Sept 1.

Keeping my fingers crossed that you are right!!!!:goodvibes

When I heard about overtime for the free dining, the CM knew about the overtime 2 weeks out. Mid-September if it comes.

I've been lurking here for a few weeks now and following the drama, so for what it's worth...

I called tonight to add a night to my reservation, and I asked about Florida resident discounts. The CM I spoke with, who was super sweet and helpful, says she expects them to come out any day now.

Take that with a grain of salt -- I think that as with most everything else, the CMs aren't all as informed as we would like them to be -- but I'm with Terri in thinking it's only a matter of time.

While I am still very new to the DIS boards, I tend to agree. While some resorts have sold out of FD rooms for certain periods, there is still availability at some of these same resorts for the same period, if you book without FD. How much availability - only Disney knows...I'm not sure when the RO discounts came out last year for the fall period, but since FD came out later this year compared to last year, it would only make sense that Disney is trying to hold back. For those looking for RO discounts here's some pixiedust:

I'm running the Wine & Dine marathon and desperately need a code for 10/1. Annual Pass is offering ZERO discount for this date :confused3

I just tried to do a last minute check of a few dates and the reservation system is down right now and not booking. Perhaps this is good news??

Saw your post and got all excited...just tried the website and nope, it's working again with nothing new at this time..:headache:

I got no discount during the Princess Half last Feb. (peak season :headache: ) so they may not discount during big events?
Hoping for a discount for Oct. 12-16. I won't be going otherwise. I don't have anything booked. Our APs have expired and I'm not paying rack rates again in 2011.
