Room only codes for December

Does anyone think there will be a room only code for December? I am waiting, not so patiently. Doesn't look like it though. I am not willing to give up the room I have and I am not going to be there long enough to use a package, so I guess I will just stick with the AAA rate if I have to. This is so frustrating.

I am hoping for a room only discount too...I really wanted POP because we've never stayed there but I let that AAA rate slip away so we're at ASMu...

We are waiting for a room only code also. We are keeping the hotel/room reservation we have regardless but the discount is always nice.

DH and I were just saying last night that there may not be one this year because this time of year seems to be getting so much more popular.

Are the room only codes traditionally released in September?

According to Mousesavers website, last year's "available to anyone" room only code was released on 9/28/06, for dates 10/30/06-12/23/06.

Great, looks like there is still some hope afterall. I don't plan on giving up the room I have booked no matter what the cost. At least I got a AAA discount on it, better than nothing I guess.

I was up at the crack of dawn yesterday trying to get the package deal.There was nothing available for POP. My kids already have their tickets so I'm thinking of dropping the package for a room only.

That is so odd...I was able to get two rooms on a package at POP for Dec.15-20. Perhaps it was your dates???

I'm waiting too! We have the Poly booked for 12/4-12/6 before my parents get there to stay at OKW with them. AAA discount rooms were sold out. If we don't get some sort of discount, we're going to switch to WL, I think. It's a great resort, just my dream has always been Poly.
If the historical dates hold true, over a month to go! *sigh*

I too am waiting for a code. I have a room reserved at the Contemporary, Tower with MK view, for five nights, Dec. 10 - 15. I usually stay at the French Quarter, but decided to try the CR this time. (Been years since I've stayed there.) I am an AAA member, a Florida resident, a Disney Visa card holder, a frequent WDW visitor, and will be an annual pass holder by the planned time of this trip. But if a significant code is not forthcoming, I'll have a hard decison to make, given the very high rack rate on CR rooms. (Something like $450. per night) I will buy an annual pass in November, and I have my meal reservations for the Dec. trip, as well as a ticket for MVMCP on the 11th.

I'll probably wait until sometime in November before making a final decision, but that rack rate makes me very unhappy. I can afford it, but I think it's simply way too high, especially for a solo visit.

We booked POP over Thanksgiving week. I have a feeling the value resorts are blacked out for the Disney visa package during the holiday. I thought it would be OK since we were checking in on 11/17. I was offered an upgrade to CS for $100.00 more. But I'm tring to SAVE money.

FYI - I checked the web site to apply the disney visa/general public discount for 11/10-11/17. The POP was actually available for those dates as of last night. The price for 2 adults 1 jr and i child - 7 nights - 8 day hopper plus dining for $2400.00. I was quoted $2700.00 It's a good deal if anyone wants to jump on it.
