Room only codes coming????

I think it's a safe bet that there will not be any more discounts for arrivals before 8/23/03. It's the middle of summer, Disney's busy time and they filled alot of rooms with the FTP. AP rates have been out for 2 months for 7/4 to 8/23 (released 5/8/03). There are also AAA & Disney Club discounts.

On Mary's site it says that discounts for last year did not come out until the last two weeks in July.

I meant for stays between now and 8/23/03. Pokeysmom's countdown is 21 days, so I assume she is looking for late July/early August. The discounts that came out in late July last year were for the fall.

Debbie,
Sorry I should have indicated that I was referring for the Nov/Dec time period. I agree with you that for the next month or so everything is out that is coming out. (Of course Disney will probably prove us wrong tomorrow, but....)

Debbie and Carol, Hi! I have actually rented points for one night at a great rate and used AAA for another night. That is probably going to be it for this trip. We sometimes will stay another couple nights at disney during the time that we are renting a condo at the beach, just so we dont have to drive back to the beach late at night. We also sometimes stay at the end of our vacation. This year our extra nights will be at Univ/IOA resorts, with their resort rates and FOL they won. I just kept holding out hope for disney. I will keep watching this thread because I am already thinking about our next trip.

Personally, I'm hoping for AP or room-only discounts for both the end of August and January.

I have two trips in the works and we've already puchased passes. I've been following the historic trends, but I keep hoping some sort of discount will come out soon!

This waiting makes me nervous!

Here's an update, since I started this thread. We have decided to go to Busch Gardens (Tampa) and the beach next week since room only codes didn't come out. Pokeysmom- you will love FOL at US/IOA. They will get my money next March if room only codes don't appear then. The FTP just doesn't work for us; bring back room only codes, please!!!

polkadotminnie, have a great time at busch gardens and the beach. Florida is great and hopefully Disney will bring back those room only codes or its FOL for us or renting someones points for us next year! HAVE FUN!

Although I am booked with the FTP I am flying in the night before (mid Nov.) and am looking for the room only codes to be dispatched as well thinking that I would just stay at the same resort for the night so that I wouldn't have to move the next morning. I hope that Disney will offer the codes soon. I have been checking Mary's site almost everyday waiting, waiting, waiting.

Keep hoping that will be any day now for November

Pam

Do the Fairy Tale Package is still available? We are planning a trip in mid-march 2004, when (if they do) do you think Disney will release codes for march 2004?

Thanks!!

Codes for March of this year came out in January. So if you need codes for March of 2004, start looking next January.

Here's where I got my info, scroll down to see the chart of a history of codes:

No, the FTP isn't available at the moment. It expired on June 29th I believe. No one knows if Disney will offer the FTP next year.

My fingers are crossed for October codes to be released!! Went last October and codes came out July 22nd. But it seems Mousesavers.com let us know the exact date they were coming out.

Just talked to a cm about our reservations for the first week of december and I asked him if any discounts would be out for that time and he said he was sure that there would be one just to keep checking at the end of august or the first of september. He told me that they are out about 3 months in advance. This cm was from the disney club, I sure hope he knows what he is talking about. LOL

Look what I found today on www.mousesavers.com:

"Florida resident rates for 8/24/03-10/1/03 at Disney's WDW resorts are now available. Annual Passholder rates covering the same period of time are expected in the next week or so."

Yippee!!!

Sorry to be the one to burst your bubble, but this sentence was deleted from mousesavers.com yesterday. (July 28th)

I e-mailed Mary and asked why that sentence was pulled and here's the reply I got:

Michelle,

Last week there were some AP rates pending in the Disney reservations
system, according to some agents I talked with. Then the "available to
book" date on them changed to August 3. Then they disappeared. None of
this is particularly unusual.

I think there probably will be some AP rates eventually, but Disney's
marketing dept may be waiting for things to settle down from the current
round of postcard and e-mail rates that just went out.

Sorry to bring bad news! I'm also waiting for AP discounts so I know how frustrating this can be. :)

I from West Virginia, and you Never, Never, Never, see special codes for this state. I am hoping for similiar room codes that they offered last year for the time frame we are going (12/13/03 to 12/20/03), but am not feeling good about it since they offered the FTP. I think this great package will be such a success for WDW, that they will not need to offer any special rates through the end of the year. My whole family (mom, dad, brother, sister, and families) are going this year. This is the first time we have all vacationed together, and one of the reasons we selected this time of year was because of the great rates WDW offered last year. I know that room rates are not a given, I was just really hoping that some kind of room discounts would be offered. I am still excited about being in WDW with my family. Discounted room rates would be icing on the cake. Keeping my fingers crossed. Pretty please Walt Disney World! ;)

Feefee white- We live in Alabama. You would think that Georgia, Alabama and Tennesee would get codes, because we can easily drive to Disney. I really hope they come through soon!!!

Mississippi should get codes, too. We are not that far from WDW. 11 hours driving for South Mississippi. Please Disney. Give us a chance.
