Room only codes coming????

I don't know if you can draw any conclusions from this but I just called CRO. We are currently booked at AKL for 3 nights and WL for 6 with an AP rate. I wanted to see if we could switch to AKL for all nights. The person I spoke with told me there was no availability for AP rates for my nights which are July 17-26. There are rooms available but none for an AP discount.

We are in the same boat........We have a Cruise booked for October and want to stay at WL for 2 nites before. Can't squeeze another nite or would get the Land/Sea Package:( Stayed at WL last year and it was awesome!! Would have loved the FTP last year, just my luck!!

Please release a few rooms with a Code for us returning Disney Lovers!!

Waiting and Hoping,
E;)

Sounds like I might just have to make those reservations or I might miss out on a room completely. Do you know if a code comes out will they go ahead and give me the discount if I already have reservation?

We are staying at the Mariott Downtown Disney our first 6 nights (first night @ $65, 5 nights @ $20.03.) Our last 2 nights I held Wilderness Lodge at a AAA rate since I wanted to at least have a room. I would love to see a code, Disney Visa or AP rate for this time though!

Yes they will apply a code for an existing reservation, as long as the reservation is covered by that code. For example, I booked for our April trip now. The AAA codes are not out yet. When the AAA rate becomes available, I will call and ask them to adjust the price. Just remember though, that there are only so many rooms available at the AAA rate. So, I suppose there is a chance that I could miss out if the rooms that were available with the AAA rate were already taken - although I think unlikely.

I know you did not say anything about AAA, but I am just giving you an example. I am sure this is true of any code vs. room availability.
Hope ths helps.

Pokeysmom,
Glad to see you are fitting in a visit to my wonderful home town, New Smyrna Beach! I grew up there, and it is a wonderful place to visit, and a great place to stay prior to a visit at WDW.

I was wondering how the room only rates with codes compare to like the teachers/nurses/government rate. Anyone know?:earsgirl:

Just wanted to let you know I received the AAA discount for my June 2004 trip a couple of weeks ago. We booked room only woods view at the WL . It was only 10% but that's better than nothing. Hopefully by then something better will be offered but until then we wait!!! I would call back because the AAA rates are out.

Just to let anyone who is waiting for AAA....they are in the system for room only discount for 2004. Just got off the phone from booking 7 nights at GF and then over to BWI for 11 nights......literally the trip of a lifetime for myself and my best friend (my DH thinks I am nuts!!!). I am busting with excitement over booking our rooms so I had to share with all of you who totally understand my excitement, the CM who booked the reservation was lukewarm at best. Hope this helps someone who is also waiting for AAA....:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We will be going 7/22 and staying at All Star Movies. We called about two weeks ago and got a AAA discount of 10 percent for room only if we switched from standard to the Pantasia building. This actually makes it cheaper for up than the standard. :earsgirl: :sunny:

Hi Friends. I am in the same boat... waiting for codes. I did book a AAA rate at POR (standard room) last week for 10/16 - 10/21. I am also a Disney Club member and the only moderate room they had available for my dates was POR water view. AAA did offer both standard and water view at POR.

Have you looked at the Disney Visa website? They are posting a new offer for a 3 night value package. I assume that this means at a value resort. The package only runs through 10/1. It doesn't seem like that great of a bargain to me.

Let's keep each other updated!

Florida residents with a Disney Visa now have a code good through 10/1.

bravestwj, Hello we absolutely love New Smyrna!!!! We have been going there every summer for 30 years and plan to make it our half time home in the next several years. You can't beat being so near Disney and Daytona but we need to keep it a secret. I almost forgot to tell you that usually when the room only codes come out you can get a WL and standard view AKL for about the same as Nurses, etc. discount at Swan/Dolphin.

I found a rate of 116.00 for CB through http://www.orlandofloridareservations.com/ They also had AS for 81.00.
I don't have my confirmation yet, though. Because it's a special rate, they said it takes a few days or so to get confirmation of availability. I figure it's worth a shot...worst thing that can happen is that I don't get the discount. (We need 2 nights additional after checking out of BCV in August.)

A CM told me to look for room only codes when the Mickey Monitor comes out 8/1/03. I have the FTP now but might change if the code is low enough.

I hope Gary M is right - I agree with the bird in the hand theory. I've worked in advertising for 11 years and I couldn't agree with you more.
