Room only 2008 question

I usually wait until the package rates come out and book with AAA. If I were to book the room only with Disney directly, am I able to add the Magic Your Way with DDP on when the package rates become available? I wasn't sure if this would mess anything up, such as me losing the room if I am changing it to the package????

Also, does anyone know if AAA is able to book the room only for 2008 now, and then be able to add the MYW with DDP when it becomes available? Thanks!

I actually just called Disney and booked a room only at WL for Jan of 2008. They said that I could add the package when the rates come in, but they would just have to cancel the room only and re-book with the package. She did say the room is guaranteed by holding it this way. The rate will change if the 2008 rates go up. I am so excited!!!!

Good for you!!1 We have our room booked already too....however no package this time!
