Room Makeover - 01-11-08
This week:
Justinkevin's
Cowboy Hang Out
Howdy, partners! This week I stumbled across a lonely little cowpoke named Justinkevin in a rather empty room.
This player was trying his mightiest to make a fun western dance hall where he and his pals could hitch up their horses and kick up their heels, I love westerns, so I decided to give this ranch hand a helping hand making over his room.
BEFORE: Alone on the range this cowboy needs a place to call his own!
The first thing a dance hall needs is a dance floor. ALR Red Carpets were a perfect fit because of their red and white checkerboard pattern. Justinkevin already had some entertainment set up the Underwater Organ. Next, time for a bit of seating. Madame Leota Tables fit into almost any room theme so we placed red, green, and blue tables on each side of the dance floor. We coordinated the Barrel Chairs but mixed up the colors to give the room a little more life.
With the dance floor and seating done, all that was needed was a place to grab some grub and quench yer thirst after an afternoon wandering Frontierland so we built a serving counter out of Brown Coffee Table Crates and placed a Tombstone Room Divider right in front for stools.
An Aquarium Water Cooler and Disneyland Retro Penny Press dispense the required refreshments while a Green Cactus Chair makes a prickly spot for a host or hostess to sit.
We're almost finished but the room still needs a more western feel...
The dance hall was basically complete but something still didn't seem quite right. We needed more atmosphere! For that, we added Frontierland posters from the Golden Horseshoe Mercantile, Flaming Ransacked Windows for walls, Saddle Seats and a Coffin Sofa for added seating, with Glow in the Dark Tombstones and Cactus Lamps for lighting. Finally, a couple of Big Thunder Ranch Showers were placed to frame the front and side entryways. Yee Haw! Now we're ready to party cowboy style!
AFTER: There's gonna be a rootin', tootin' good time in here!
Be sure to head on over to Justinkevin's Cowboy Hangout for some western flavored dancing and relaxing!
Time for me to mosey back into the Kingdom and find another room for a fun and fantastic makeover.
Ya'll come back now, ya hear?
