Room location at CSR?

I just booked our Aug. vacation. We will be staying at the Coronado Spings.....I booked a standard room, but after looking at the resort map and reading up on the "best location" on the boards I am wondering if I should of booked a water view room. We would like to be in cabana 9b. My question is are they considered "water view" rooms or standard rooms? Help!!!!!!

Depending on what you want to be close to, here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2.

Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early.

I had the worst luck with my room request at CSR. It's the only place I feel it was totally ignored. We DID get a first floor room, but we wanted to be in Cabanas and we were in Casitas 3. I even said we'd take ANY Cabanas. We also didn't have the pack and play in our room when we arrived, which surprised me. I figured that would have CERTAINLY been noticed.

That said, it was a fabulous trip. Yes, we had to walk more than I had hoped. The pool is terribly far away, and the bus stop isn't very close to building three either. But we had strollers for the kids (another argument for not renting!) and the resort was so quiet and peaceful. We truly loved it.
