I'm going to BCV next week to start my first of many great vacations through DVC. Our little group of friends are adult disney freeks and have anticipated this first trip for some time. We've reserved a 1 bedroom for three people. Although the best part is eating at at all the great restaurants, we do plan on eating a few meals in the room since we have a kitchen.

My question is where can I find an inventory of the cook/bakeware that should be in each room. I'd like to prepare a few menu items and want to make sure I have pans and such. My favorite is Creme Brule French toast, which is super easy and prepared the night before. It's like an upsidedown cake, but french toast with yummy gooey stuff on the bottom. I'd just need a 9x13 pan.

I promise to post the recipe if you can answer my quest. :earsboy:

Ok, so the inventory just says pots and pans. Not to specific. Thanks for the tip. I'll just get a foil pan at the supermarket.

I strongly encourage you all to try this. It's from Gourmet July 1998 in the You asked for it Column.

Serves 6 easily

Creme Brulee French Toast
1 stick unsalted Butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
long Baguette of french bread
(feel free to improvise, challah, italian, raisin, just denser breads)
5 large eggs
1 1/2 cups half and half
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp Grand Marnier (optional)
1/2 tsp salt

In a small saucepan melt buter, brown sugar, corn syrup over moderate heat, stirring until smooth. Pour into 13x9x2 pan. Cut 1 inch slices of bread and arrange on top. Squeeze to fit

in a bowl wisk eggs, half and half, vanilla, Grand Mariner, and salt until combined. Pour over evenly over bread.

Chill mixture covered with saran wrap or foil at least 8 hrs or overnight.

Bake uncovered in preheated 350 oven about 35-40 minutes. Until edges are golden.

Trick: when you serve the french toast flip the slices over so the gooey topping is on top.

This is always a crowd pleaser. Super easy to make. make the night ahead in about 15 minutes, and viola fantastic brunch in the morning.

Looks like there is a 9 x 13 pan:

I know they keep some pans in the drawer underneath the oven, I just happened to open it once ;) . If it isn't there, give housekeeping a call, they sometimes have items by request.
