Room keys

When you do not get your park tickets with your room package, how many ticket like passes do you have? For example to do early entry I understand you need your park ticket and what? Is it your room key or is it something separate and you have a room key too?

When we went last year I got park tickets from AAA and then we had our room keys that ID'ed us as resort guests for early entry.

How does that work this year? Also if you get park tickets from say a ticket discounter then when do they get biometirically coded to each person?

I'm not sure if they can add tickets purchased elsewhere to your room key but the biometrics is recorded the first time you go through the turnstiles.

I bought our tickets at the Disney Store in Dallas. We went to guest relations at MGM the first day to get the AP validated. We, of course, had to use our tickets and showed our room keys to get into the parks early, but the only thing we showed to get the bracelets to stay late was our room keys.
