Room Key ?

Hi. My husband are planning a trip to Disneyland for our 1st year anniversary. Neither of us have been in a long time! (I'm sure this won't be our last question )

We were wondering if DLR has a Key to the World system like WDW. We thought is was very convenient to use the same card to get into our room and parks and as a charge card.

Nope; Passes to the parks are not linked to your room key card. Also, you are given a separate a separate charge slip. You have 3 separate cards for doing what you are able to do with one card at WDW.

no, disneyland does not offer the same key to the world system. You will get your hotel key which does allow you to use it for charging privilages, but for the parks your tickets are a seprate thing, and will need to be presented everytime you hop, or each day you go into the park. Also to take advantage of early entry days you will need to have a slip of paper they give you at your hotel to present to the ticketers at the gate when you present your tickets as proof you are staying onsite, or they may not allow you in we have had an occurance when we were not aware of this, and almost was not allowed in for early entry.

When I was at the GCH a couple weeks ago, the only thing the key to your room does is let you in your room, the pool, and the ice machine room. I had a separate charge slip if I wanted to charge anything to my room. Which is also what's needed for getting in for EE. You will also need your ID to use this since there's nothing but your signature to ID you on it. We also had our separate PAP. Although I would guess even if they did put park passes on your room key, there would still be a separate one for AP's. HTH!
