If I purchase a PH+ pass for my daughter and I prior to coming can it be added onto the room key or is it separate? Last time we were there we did an UPH. It'd be nice if we only had I "card" to take around. :)
Thanks everyone!!!

No. Apparently it is functionally possible to transfer previously-purchased tickets to your room key, but it is a time consuming, complicated process and most CMs do not know how to do it. So Disney made it policy that they will no longer offer this convenience at all.

I think this practice pretty much stopped for PH or PHP passes after the last price increase. Not even sure if it is possible anymore unless you are willing to pay the "gate" price rather than the "advance purchase" price.

Are the tickets in a credit card form or paper? If you buy a 7day PH+ do you have 7 paper tickets? Just curious....

They are on plastic. You get one ticket to use all 7+ days, they keep track internally. Remember if you are going to park hop in one day, you have to get your hand stamped when exiting the first park.

For multi-day passes, you have one card for all the days, not one for each. As for what kind of stock is used (paper or plastic), that depends on where you buy them. You can now buy park tickets from The Disney Store that look and work much like the gift cards/phone cards sold at major retail chains. The tickets must be activated at the register to have any value at all. They are a heavy plastic, and they come with a plackard that states all the guidelines for use and entitlements held. If you buy your tickets at the WDW ticket booths, they will be paper stock (although I think plastic stock is coming as soon as the existing paper runs out).

Your PHP ticket could be either paper or plastic - it just depends on the medium used by the entity that sells it to you. The paper versions are very tough and quite durable. With ordinary care (you're not planning to run it through the laundry several times, are you? LOL), you really have no worries. Keep a copy of the back of the ticket, and you can get it replaced if you lose it or something happens to it.

The multiday hoppers are just one ticket. Both the paper and plastic varieties are about the same size as a credit card and have a magnetic strip on the back. You do not get separate tickets for each day or each plus option.

Enjoy the trip!

Thanks everyone!! I think I'm getting them from the DS. They seem to be cheaper. Even though I'm considering AAA. Does AAA order them?

When comparing prices, make sure you clarify whether the price you're being quoted is with or without tax. It can make a huge difference.

When it comes to the Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus, the Disney Store price is rarely the best deal around.
