Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew when you get your key and they ask you if you want to be able to charge with it. Can you use a different charge card for each key.

I guess what I am trying to say is - I am going with my husband would he be able to attach his credit card to his room key and then can I use my own credit card on my key....Has this ever been done? Not that it's a big deal but the less that I have to carry around while at the parks the better. :goodvibes

TIA,

Jodi

nope, its one per booking(so any keys wtih charing priveledges will come off the same credit card). you can however, do what we do, instead of using charge card, we put down money instead, this trip we are puting down $1000 on the card. and if run low or want to add more, you just go to guest services at the resort and put more on it, and when you check out, you get any left over money back.

Although the charges on your room key might be lumped into one bill, you might be able to pay it using two different charge cards at checkout. We were able to split our hotel bill ike this (with a few charges) I was also able to pay for the room charges with one card and pay the hotel bill using another (I accidentally charged beverages to my sister's room), although that was at the Swan.

Butit might just be easier to have one person charge to the room and one person use their regular card. Mostly we use our own cards. Usually the only time we use the room key is to get drinks by the pool (It is just so great to go to the pool with only one item.)

Thanks guys! I didn't think I would be able to do that but it was worth asking. :goodvibes .

1) Contrary to popular opinion, you CAN charge to different credit cards.
2) As an example
. . . mom and daughter share a room and want to charge to their own cards
. . . husband and wife want to each charge their own credit cards
. . . two friends share a room and want to charge to their own cards
. . . four people share a suite and want to charge to their own cards
. . . each different credit card holder must be over 18
3) This applies to charges MADE ON THE ROOM KEY
. . . food & drinks
. . . shopping
. . . water sports
. . . equipment rentals
. . . tours
. . . etc
4) Charges DIRECTLY TO THE ROOM can't be separated (can't tell who did it)
. . . phone charges
. . . faxes
. . . room service
. . . etc

NOTE: The actual room cost can also be split between credit cards.

TheRustyScupper - Thanks so much for all of the information. This will really help during our stay next month!
