Room key and credit card

If we have two families in a two bedroom can each family have their own credit card tied to their room key or will they only let you have one credit card per room?

Just one credit card. You can have individual cards enabled or disabled for charge privs.

You can go to the front desk the night prior to checking out and receive an itemized charge sheet which will show charges by each room key. You can then have the other family use their own card to pay for their charges. We were even able to split a few of the charges down the middle (i.e. both families ate at Boma and billed it to one key but then split the charge evenly).

If you wind up charging $1500 to the card before the night you check out, that will be charged to the credit card. You may want to do a daily check if you wind up charging a lot so you can get them split before they charge the one card.

OR

You can only have charging privileges on one card. And let the other family use their own credit card to charge and not the room ID.
