Room Discounts as DVC Members

Morning all,

I was wondering if DVC members get a standing discount on normal rooms at the resorts. I've got a 2BR villa reserved for our trip in August, but may need to reserve another room that doesn't have to be in the actual villas. If so, how much do we get, and if a better discount comes along (like for my AP), can I switch the discounts? Thanks!

Only discount through DVC is 25 percent off rack rate for a DVC Resort room, and that is subject to any availability which is not always there for the DVC rooms.

There are no member discounts for rooms at non-DVC Resorts.

Members may be able to get a 25% cash discount at DVC resorts. The member cash discount is not always available.

In the past, the member had to be staying in the discounted room, too. You couldn't get it for non-members.
