We are planning for our next trip in February 2014. I was hoping to get the same discount we got this year at the poly which was 35% off room only. I noticed the discounts released today are only 20 off poly and that theme park view rooms at CR are not included :(
Our plan was to do split stay between the two. Is this usually the room discounts and we just lucked out last year? We loved the poly and I really want to stay at the CR and DH says this is last trip to disney for a while so want to try out cr and head back to poly.

It depends on what days you are looking at for Feb 2014. We were at WDW last Feb and there were really good discounts for the first half of the month. The second half also had discounts. You really can't compare Sept rates and discounts to February. Disney seems to base their discounts on occupancy rates. So they probably haven't decided what to offer yet.

Percent of Discount, Rooms included in Discount, Resorts included in discount, all vary from Season to Season, Promotion to Promotion, Year to Year. You never know what you are going to get. I have changed room category many times over the years to get what was offered in the discount. I know it is disappointing when you have an idea in mind for many months of where you want to stay. I feel it is worse to pay rack rate so I try to be flexible with what is offered during promo time. It usually works well if you book when the promotion is first released as there is more availability.:goodvibes

Thanks. We went actually march 4 for two nights. We added it on to a stay in Clearwater and forgot it was actually march we stayed. We loved it there! My girls favorite part was seeing the castle from the pool :)

I booked the morning the discount was released and got 35% off which was awesome as we would never pay rack rate for it.

typically, are the winter discounts better then the fall ones??

I really want TPV at CR, but am considering garden wing too for the convenience of walking to MK if TPV is excluded from discounts. This will be first trip for Inlaws so want it to be magical!
