Where can I find or could someone tell me what the different room types there are at the BCV & VWL. Preferred views, pool views.... that sort of thing. Also are there different point values for these things? I might go in Sept or at a later date and if I know what to ask for that would help.

There are no different point values for BCV or BWV. All studios have the same point costs regardless of the view - same for 1BR and 2BR villas.
At VWL all are woods view- some villas may have a glimpse of the lake thru the trees, a view of the pool or a view of the dumpster - but the cost is the same regardless what you can see from the balcony.
At BCV, there are courtyard views, pool views and some that look towards various areas of Epcot (I don't think
DVC calls them Epcot views though). Some will have a view of the Illuminations fireworks. All will have the same point cost.
BWV does offer Standard View rooms at a lower point cost than Preferred View - which includes both Boardwalk Views and courtyard, pool and canal views all at the same cost. Standard and Boardwalk views will be guaranteed at the time of the reservation.
OKW and SSR have a variety of views - Water, Golf and woods at OKW and Lake, Golf and DD at SSR - all with the same point cost. Some SSR buildings are closer to DD, some are closer to the main pool - but all cost the same.
AKV will have several options - each with it's own
point chart.
HH and VB also have some variance with what may be seen from the room, but the
point charts show no difference.
