Room Deliveries

On my friend's recent trip to WDW, her daughter really, really wanted some souvenir she found. She told her daughter she wasn't buying it, but that she should wish really hard b/c you never know with Disney magic. And so she did. Since her parents were with her, she had her Dad pick the item up and take it back to the room with them. When they arrived back that night, her daughter was SO excited because the Disney magic really worked. Precious! So I'm wondering, if we were to make a secretive purchase at a Disney shop where they'll send your purchases back to your resort, will they actually put it in your room for you - like not in a bag but lay it on the bed or something? Anyone ever done anything like that?

I do not believe they'll put it in the room for you. When you have packages delivered back to your resort, they go to a place (usually the store associated with the resort) for you to go pick up. At a deluxe resort, bell services can deliver the package (at least we did that at BWV). However, you have to show your claim receipt either way.

If you're traveling with another adult, that person could go pick up the package and then set it up in the room while you occupy the giftee.

When we stayed at GF, WL, BC, AKL we had to pick up our purchases from the parks in the hotel gift shop. THis last trip to YC they sent our purchases to our room but we were on club level so that may be the difference. I did purchases from disneyflorist this last trip and they delivered a great basket/tote to our room. I was able to customize what was in the bag to fit our family.

Yep, they'll only put your packages in the room if you're club level. Otherwise, packages go to the gift shop.
