Assuming we feel able to travel, I am planing on brining my 18 year old daughter to DW this June to celebrate her HS graduation and admittance to Nursing School :). For those who have stayed at both, I'm looking for opinions on comfort of the actual room (beds, general noise level, layout etc) at either AoA LM or Pop for 2. We do spend a decent amount of time in our room, as we do like sleeping in on vacation, as well as the occasional movie night with our amazon stick. We will have a car, so distance to busses and food court aren't a big factor. Thank you so much.

Both rooms are the same standard size.

I would pick POP.
The rooms are updated so it feels bigger and there's a privacy door between the main area and bathroom area.
Plus you can choose several room categories depending on where in the resort you'd like to stay.
I find standard rooms to be nice and quiet.
You can also walk over to AOA for food and exploring.

The LM rooms are not updated as far as I know.
And while you say distance doesn't matter because you have a car... Are you really going to try to drive your car to a closer spot to the main building to get food? That seems odd to me.
The LM rooms are a hike because of the way the paths are laid out around the resort.

Thank you! I should have added that we will use the car for drive through and pickup food quite a bit so no, I don't plan on driving to the food court to eat LOL. Too many steps. And we are ok with walking when needed.

Haha okay that makes more sense. I was picturing you wasting time, gas, and possibly not finding a spot just so you didn't have to walk from the room to main building.

My teen daughter and I stayed at Pop a few months ago and had plenty of room! We were originally booked at a LM room at AoA but switched to Pop and so glad we did. Pop rooms are newly renovated and we loved that we could move the one bed back into the wall during the day for even more room (easy to do... can do it one-handed). Beds were super comfy. Plenty of space and storage for us in that room. Also, LM rooms from AoA were far from Skyliner station whereas we requested a building at Pop near Skyliner and was close to that and lobby etc. Our location made it feel like a small resort... close to everything. Pop does not currently have buses to and from Ep and HS but can take Skyliner. At park closing we sometimes took an AoA bus back and a short walk from there to our Pop room (if really long Skyliner line). We did NOT notice noise from room walls etc at all during our whole stay but I think that’s the luck of the draw. We’ve stayed at all levels of resorts in the past and noise is hit or miss at all levels.

Congrats to your daughter by the way!

I've recently stayed at both - the LM rooms were updated over the closure. However, I prefer the Pop rooms - they feel nicer to me. In terms of comfort they're about the same. LM doesn't have the murphy bed so Pop rooms can feel significantly bigger when you can put that bed up. In terms of comfort of the beds and noise level, I would say they're about the same.

We love Pop Century,1950s!

We could lay out by Bowling Pool listening to Elvis Presley and the other 1950s Artists on the 1950s Soundtrack all day!

Pop Century is really GROOVY and FAR OUT and so is your Daughter's accomplishment! :)

2019 trip we did a few nights at AoA LM room. We enjoyed the theming, but the walk was long and the resort seemed way more crowded than POP ever did. We found POP more comfortable in every category and less noisy.

The LM rooms are newly refurbed so a few years newer then Pop at this point, but they still look dark and dingy to me. I prefer the light walls at Pop to the blue LM rooms.

I prefer POP here. Only time it was loud was the pool party afternoons if you were located near there. Didn't hinder unless you went back for afternoon naps. Not sure they are doing this now. Enjoy

My personal preference between the two is the LM rooms. Orange (the primary scheme in Pop's rooms) is not restful at all to me.
