Room choices?

We have 2 different cabin choices and I can't tell if one would be better than the other. One choice is 7108/7110 which is at the back of the ship by the stairs, the second 7516/7518 which is at the front of the ship by the stairs. Is the "by the stairs" part going to be noisey? They are on opposite sides of the ship if that would matter. Both are connecting, which we want. Any thoughts? Thank-you!:D

I really, really like aft, but that is my personal preference. We've been near the forward elevators and have never heard excess noise. I feel more motion forward, but not excessively, and I'm not prone to seasickness anyway. Being aft on deck 7, you will be close to the "secret" verandah and the "seret" stairway up to the buffet. You may hear the thrusters while docking back there, but that never bothers me. My usual spot is all the way aft on deck 5, and there is very little hallway traffic or noise.

Thank-you Barb. I think we will try the aft rooms. My Mom has some trouble with sea sickness and said exactly what you did! My DS 11 will love the idea of a secret stairway too the FOOD! I'll always know where to find him!;) I do not believe he has ever been full in his life!:teeth:

We sailed in 7518 last November and had no problems with noise from the front stairs/elevators. I think many people just forget that those stairs/elevators are there unless they're getting out of a show in the WD Theater, so there's not much traffic as a general rule. The only noise problem we had was generated by our discourteous neighbors in 7516, but if you're going to have that cabin too you should have more control over the situation.

Hi neighbor, Jestocost! We should not have too many problems with noise from next door, except my Grandfather can't hear so if he decides to watch TV he turns it LOUD! He keeps telling us he is moving onto the balcony the first day and not moving until the last. His plan is for room service to bring all his meals out there too. Anyway thanks for the advise. I think we will go with aft since the movement may not be as bad back there, and we will be close to the secret stairs. I can't believe we are REALLY GOING!!!!!!:teeth:
