Room charge question

I'm sure this has been asked before - sorry for asking again - but can't find my answer with searching.
Daughter and friend going next week. Wondering if they can each have a different credit card for their room key/charge card or if all keys for a room have to be on the same credit card. They are still deciding if they will have their cards be chargeable, and this answer will help them decide.

A Disney CM who frequents this and other Disney-themed boards has educated us to the fact that you CAN have 2 different room charge accounts (using 2 different credit cards) in the same room at the same time.

He says to tell the front desk CM that you want to set up a "SHARE" and that you must use that specific word "share." He says don't be alarmed if the CM doesn't know what you're talking about, and to then ask for a lead or supervisor, and/or to refer the CM to look it up in the Front Desk Manual.

It truly can be done. It's just not a well-known fact, not even among the employees.
