Hello everyone!

So I got the email about the dreaded room block! :rotfl:

We have over 100 guests we're inviting, but have estimated a little over half will show up. Most are traveling as a family and turning our wedding into a vacation. Most likely will stay at least 2-3 days...

However, going over the estimate of DF's guest list and my own, I don't think 25 room nights is enough. :confused3

After a lot of math and thinking, we're now thinking that 40 room nights is safer (with the 20% cushion that gives us 48 room nights)...

I mean, us and his parents and my parents are staying the whole week, so that's already a good chunk right there....

Does anyone think this is sufficient? Or am I over estimating too much?

Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

I don't know too much about the room block as we are doing an escape. But I'm sure I read recently that they are now allowing you to reduce the room block up to around 90 days before the wedding. In that case I shouldn't imagine there would be a problem with starting off by overestimating and then adjusting once you have a better idea of numbers.

I'm sure someone who knows more about it will come along soon though!

Yes, I wouldn't worry about this. Block as many as you think you'll need now and then adjust it as you need to when people start making their reservations. :thumbsup2

Awesome!
Thank you both so much! :goodvibes
