Ok So I have the information for my room block I just don't know what hotels to pick!

I didn't think narrowing it down to three would be so hard!

How did you decide your room block? If you have any tips please let me know!

I have several families with kids so I am thinking at least one value. I know for moderate I would like PORS. My biggest dilemma is with the delux! I have no clue what to pick! I found it funny that what they have quoted me so far the GF is cheeper than the Poly.....

I just don't know where people will want to stay!!!

Hey,
We had a hard time picking hotels too. It's a tough one because there are so many different wonderful choices! Here is how we came across our decisions. First, we wanted to provide all of our friends and family with price options. We didnt want to choice all deluxe or all moderate. (Being a fan of the value resorts ourselves! Cant beat the All Star Prices!!) We wanted to provide a varied price range, so we went with one hotel from each category. For value, we choose All Star Sports (We have stayed there 3 or 4 times and we like it the best out of the Values - just a personal decision - maybe because we are big sports people) As for moderate, I love the theme and style of Carribean Beach, and having stayed there once before, I knew I wanted that on my list. Deluxe was tricky, so we asked our friends and family that IF they would be staying at a Deluxe hotel, what would be there first choice. The Beach Club far outweighed the other Deluxe resorts, so we put that one on the list. My family loves the feel of the Beach club, and whereas my reception is at Ariel's, it will make for easy transport at the end of the night for my parents with gifts, cards, etc. :) No matter what you choose, everyone will be happy! I think all Disney hotels are great, and the themes are all well thoughout. Just take a look at who you are inviting and who will be staying there, and use your best judgement! Happy Planning!!! :)

We chose to use all three resort categories for our room block as well! The three we chose were the resorts that we enjoyed the most ourselves. We chose The Grand Floridian, Caribbean Beach Resort, and The All Star Movies. I know it is a tough decision, but try to think about what you all like the most! Good Luck!

I agree with disneyheaven as far as location goes. Alot should depend on where you are having your wedding and reception. We are hoping for Epcot WS for ceremony and somewhere on the Boardwalk for reception and then IllumiNations desert party so for our hotels we will try to pick locations close to Epcot (Boardwalk or YC). We will also pick one budget and one moderate.

for deluxe that was easy we wanted the discounted rate for the yacht club where were getting married & staying. for value we choose allstar movies, which is our favorite value & its so disney, where pretty much everyone is staying besides my parents who are at wilderness lodge.

We just finished our room block last night, so I can appreciate your problem!!We also chose one resort from each price category. We picked All Stars Music, since I've heard that is the best choice for people that don't have kids (apparently the theming is a bit more "grown-up"). For our moderate, we picked the POFQ, which is my favorite moderate, and for deluxe we chose the Contemporary, since it was the cheapest :thumbsup2 and on the monorail. Plus, it just says "Disney" to me.
I agree, BTW, that its strange that the Poly is more expensive than GF. Who would've guessed?? :confused3
Good luck with your decision!

Ok so another question. Can you add more night to your room block after you initially submitted it?

Hi there. For starters, you can look at the pics on allearsnet.com. She has pics of EVERY hotel in the resort.

When we were visiting my DF's parents at Christmas, we went around and visited most of the hotels we were thinking of. I have lots of pics of lobbies and grounds if you'd like, but allearsnet.com has better shots - everyting from rooms to suites to lobby to restaurants. It's a great site and I highly recommend it! :thumbsup2
