Room availability by phone?

We're arriving at OKW next Saturday morning, arriving in Sanford at 11. We would like to pick up our groceries on the way from the airport to OKW, rather than making another trip out later. However, we don't want them stored till the room is available - in the past we've seen groceries end up outside on the sidewalk instead of stored properly. We've been pretty lucky on getting checked in early on Saturdays, but it's certainly not a sure thing.

Is it possible for us to call the front desk when we arrive in Sanford, and ask if the room is available? Has anyone ever done that?

I'm not sure they'll tell you over the phone (I would guess not), but they have just opened up the expansion of the Bell storage area and front desk area.

The storage area should be large enough to accommodate a Sat. arrival. So, I wouldn't worry about outside storage for this trip at least. We have now been here (OKW) over 2 weekends and have not seen any luggage outside- except when being loaded/unloaded to a vehicle. The new storage facility is handling the present crowd just fine- even today.
