Room at GF or Poly for 6

If you are open to considering an Epcot resort, you may want to look into a deluxe room at the BWI. They have two queen beds plus a queen sofa sleeper, so can sleep six.

They used to offer guaranteed connecting rooms at the Swan or Dolphin - with the extra room being pretty heavily discounted - for families. We did that once. I know you won't get a few perks, but they're very nice resorts. Also walk to Epcot or boat to DHS.

It is challenging to have a party of six with one adult. Disney won't book you two rooms in my experience.

A family suite like at AOA will also sleep six, but I know you're trying to minimize bus service.

Thanks so much for all the help! I really wanted to stay at a monorail hotel so we can go to at least 2 of the parks and just be able to jump on the monorail. We are planning on going to the parks at opening until were too hot then coming back and staying at the hotel by the pool and going back and evenings. I do t want to spent a lot
Of time on buses.

We will be there a month before my twin 16th birthday and they had stayed in hotel rooms w/o an adult a lot because the travel with their sports team. I obviously would prefer joining rooms but if you think we couldn't get them but we at least be able to get on the same floor close to each other? If I have to do a suite they better have a great discount code soon!!

You have to book suites over the phone, so I would be prepared to call as soon as a discount for your dates comes out. Even with a discount, I would prepare for sticker shock as the rooms are $1000+, per night, at full cost. Your most economical option, for 6, on the monorail, will probably be a 2-bedroom at BLT. You may want to consider renting DVC points if your dates are set in stone and BLT is available.

When we did an AP rate once for AKL, suites were excluded from discounts. Also, good point - not only suites are a lot, but even just one regular room CL at the GF runs roughly $1000 a night now. Makes me cringe, since when we stayed there we paid $175 a night (walk in rate first time, second was a military rate).
