Room Assignments at BWV......

Just printed my dining reservations from disneyworld.com and checked the room ressie also. We have a 1 bdrm garden/pool view booked, and is showing as such on dvcmember.com when I did online check-in. However, on the disneyworld.com site the room ressie is showing as standard view. I called MS and they assure me they have 1 bdrm garden/pool view on their system.....which is fine.....that's what I'm showing also. But........I'm very concerned that when we get there BWV front desk will have us assigned to a standard room since that's what showing on the disneyworld.com system. Anyone have any ideas about this or has it happened to anyone else. Can I call BWV directly and get someone who can tell me what category room I am indeed assigned to? I really don't want to get there and have to deal with it and waste a few hours getting it straightened out.......especially since we're arriving late Sunday afternoon and MS will be closed already.

I would print out the DVC page and take it with me if I were you. You can also call the resort a day or so before arrival. I don't think they get the info until then so calling before that won't help.

When someone pays cash for a room at BWV their reservation always says "standard" view, however most times their view is garden/pool (since us members book up those standard and boardwalk views).

I don't think the regular WDW reservation site has any other category than standard (and the two systems don't really talk to either other). Since the DVC site shows preferred I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I have a boardwalk view booked for late April and I just looked it up on disneyworld.com. It says standard view. I think that's the only category disneyworld.com has in their system, they don't split it out.

Thanks for the responses everyone........your responses make sense.....I didn't know that all room categories are listed as standard when paying cash.

I have BWV booked for January, garden/pool view booked also. My ressie also says standard view on the WDW site so I would tend to agree with the other posters. Have a great stay!

I have a May BW view reservation and my Disneyworld confirmation also says standard view. Seems to be a common problem that needs to be fixed ASAP to avoid confusion.

For me, I just received DVC reservations with different numbers than I had when I reserved my BW view 1 bedroom last Nov. Today the reservation they sent to me said STANDARD view, but with the points necessary for BW view. Then went I went online to check in with DVC, it said BW view again.

Makes no sense to me. Whatever they are doing with the reservation system/numbers/etc. they need to get things consistent so we don't have to worry about our reservations changing.

That happened to me in August for my segmented and split stay trip. I ended up with different numbers for each one and was probably the reason I had no issues with the segmented dining plans.

I have a feeling that the "one travel plan" idea that DVC wanted to implement did not mesh with the resort system and thus its being changed out. When I booked my August 2012 trip, I was given three different numbers for the three rooms I booked at BLT for the same dates--different than the way it was booked for August 2011.

Yes. We had BWV booked and then I added a night at the beginning of the trip at BLT when airfares came out and it was so much cheaper to go a day earlier. Originally, I had one reservation number for both the BLT and BWV segments. Now we have two different reservation numbers.

I'm okay with that. What I don't like is getting a new reseration number at the last minute right before the trip and have it say that my BW view is now a standard view. I had to call MS to make sure that really didn't happen, no matter what the reservation says now.
