Room assigner

I know you can request a certain room (i.e. Boardwalk view) at the time you make your reservation, but it has been stated on the Camping board you can fax in a more specific request to the room assigner three or four days before your arrival. Can you do the same with the DVC room assigner? If you can, does anyone have a fax number for them? We are staying at SSR in October and would like a ground floor room near the main buildings ( pool, restaurant, etc.) due to physical limitations.

DVC announced that all requests should be made through member services. Faxes or phone calls are not accepted.

I believe you can fax requests directly to the resort 2 days before arrival. You can't send faxes to the resort much earlier that because they don't get the reservation until a few days before arrival.

DVC says they do not accept room faxes for requests. We have received that information several times, so I'd say your best bet is to have that request made through MS. You should call MS and make your request just as you did here, and indicate it is for medical reasons.
