We stayed for the first time ever using DVC at the Wilderness Lodge - absolutely wonderful!!! We were there from November 1-8. Very quiet and great theming. To whomever had the room before us, thanks for the leftover treats (I found them on Day 2). I added to the stash! I also may have found some toys you left behind....

Also, I didn't tip Mousekeeping - for a couple of reasons. I was prepared to, but I was disappointed in the service. In the first 2 days there, the kids found a light saber somewhere in their room. We also found an unopened bottle of water. While looking for my DD7 sneakers, I found fruit snacks near the bed (unsquished thank goodness). They came in on the appointed day and removed whatever trash was there and they replaced the towels. The only problem was they didn't remove the old ones! We have 4 kids and we hung their towels to dry over the rods in the closet of the 2nd BR. The door to the closet was open, so I figured they couldn't miss 4 towels hanging there. I guess I was wrong. On our last day, my husband found a plastic curved sword in the 2nd BR on the TV armoir. I didn't think Mousekeeping did a very good job cleaning from the people before us because of everything we found.

The empty half empty water bottle is gross. What if one of your kids picked that up and drank it?!?

I'd send MS or whoever an email.

Soudns liekt eh peopel before you left in a hurry to leave all that stuff.

Gald you ahd a good trip otherwise!

The water was not opened - thank goodness!!! That would have really grossed me out too! I twisted the cap, and it was sealed. I dumped the water and threw it out anyway. Not taking any chances.

Oh.... I was just envisioning my 2 year old running over and picking up and drinking out of it. That changes things that it was sealed, but still sounds like housekeeping was super lax that day!
