I'm pricing out our options right now for staying onsite vs offsite. We would have a timeshare offsite, and a value resort if we stayed onsite. The price difference would be about $35 for the week. (pre addition of the dining plan)

So...the dining plan question...do I have to stay on property to get the dining plan? When I priced it out, it seems like a good deal for us to use and it would also take one thing out of the budget planning for spending money if we pay in advance.

Thanks!!!:thumbsup2

Yes, you have to stay on-site to get the dining plan. You have to have a Magic Your Way Package reservation which includes a park ticket purchase. Room only reservations do not allow you to add on the dining plan.

Thanks Figgie!

Hubbs and I will just have to look at our two options and decide which offers the perks we want. Being able to buy the dining plan is a plus in the on site reservation package.

So if I do a room only reservation for right now and decide I want a package later on, will I need to cancel my existing room only and book a new package? Or can I add it to my room only later?
