We're trying to choose b/w Ron and Rev. Tim.

Who out there has used either of them, and what did you think? Did they do a good job? would you hire them again? How willing are they to work with you on personalizing the ceremony? We don't want to do a unity candle or a sand ceremony, but are considering other options like a handfasting.

TIA :goodvibes

I used Rev Herring and really liked him. He wasn't really a chatter in person, but did a wonderful ceremony. I really need to figure out how to upload my video.

Another vote for Rev. Tim! We loved our ceremony and all that he said/incorporated. It was very personal w/o him really knowing us. We did have a sand ceremony and a semi-Catholic ceremony (I say semi b/c I am Catholic and DH is not), but he was flexible with us and helpful throughout the entire process.

I will never regret having Rev. Tim marry us. :goodvibes

We used Ron and thought he was fantastic. He was very prompt in his replies (even by email), and was early to arrive on our wedding day. We wanted a family rose ceremony, and he was happy to add it to the day.

Here is my recently posted review:

Our officiant, Ron, was early and he went through everything with us before our guests arrived. I really liked him. He was the perfect balance between calming and direct. He got stuff done right, and he was nice about it! He had memorized our entire ceremony, and did an awesome job. He was great to work with, and I recommend him, especially if you are looking for a non-religious officiant.

HTH!! :goodvibes

We also used Ron for our wedding day. He was awesome! He had lots of great ceremony options and was willing to make changes that we wanted, was very prompt with replying when we had questions, and did great with our ceremony. He memorized everything and was genuine and kind. I would use him again in a heartbeat!

I too had ron and would not recommend him! We wanted to have a sand ceremony and a memorial candle. he fought us tooth and nail for everything that we wanted to do. He was there on time I will give him that HOWEVER...he stepped on my dress and was very rude about the fact that I wanted to have our maid of honor and best man to sign our marriage licence. When the wedding was over he walked by my mom and basically threw the papers at her and said "here...im done" Im not a hard person to get along with we even write the sand ceremony which he approved but had a REALLY hard time with the candle. All we wanted was a few names read off of people who died YEARS ago but still felt that they should be honored. He said it would be too sad and he wasnt going to do it. In the end he did it. I was NOT impressed!

Definitely loved Rev. Tim!! I was starting to majorly stress at the rehearsal and he broke the ice and was just too funny!! He put on a great ceremony and was just all around fabulous to work with!! The funny thing when we got back was how he added me on facebook! hahaha! I don't know why thats funny to me that he has facebook since like everyone does now!

I VOTE RON. We are using him in December. He has been extremely prompt about replying to us. He sent us the ceremony script immediately. There were many different options to chose from. It's perfect for someone looking for a nonreligious ceremony and he was very open to adding/deleting things. It was a $100 down-payment to book him and then we pay additional $50 the day off = $150 total. :santa:
