Hi everyone, I am staying at Ron Jons in Sept before our cruise. Can anyone tell me about this place and where its located as to the DCL.
thanks :earsboy:

I really cant believe no one has been there it must be real bad lol :cool1:

I actually just cancelled my reservation for the Radisson & booked Ron Jon's for 11/2 !!!! After reading the description on dcltribute. com I had to go with it. pull up the website, then on the left under "lodging" you will see that he has nothing but wonderful things to say about it. Also, if you go to tripadvisor . com they also have many, many wonderful reviews. Best of luck to you & I can't wait to go down that 4 story slide & glide on that lazy river :goodvibes

I was looking at there web site and your right looks great cant wait :cool1:

I have been to nassau once..carnival cruise...(DON'T ASK IT WAS HORRIBLE!)
kids had hair braided right after you passed thru the main bldg then we went to dolphin encounter..it was also our formal night and our dinner was at 5..everything closes early on fridays (5 or 6 they said) so we didn't get to get anywhere..

Well next week, we are just doing the glass bottom boat excursion, getting kids' hair braided on ship or at CC , so we can venture out a bit.

Where is the straw market and can we walk from the ship?

My family & I stayed there before last Disney Cruise & we are doing it again.

Very nice place - great swimming area & awsome indoor kids playground - my 4 year old daughter loved it - very big rooms

Its about a 5 min shuttle ride to the port

We took a tour there and it seemed very nice. Even found a decent rate and booked before 3 night Sept cruise but it had hurricane damage so reservation was canceled. Are you finding any decent deals for Sept?

We stayed there last year for 2 nights before our cruise. It was the best, my kids loved it. The pool is great, they have a shuttle to the beach, a small movie theatre, activities for the kids, a ball pit with slides for little kids. Next year we are staying longer, my kids can't wait.

What should we expect to pay?
The website says from $120.
I called for next spring break, and it was around $350 - too rich for us.

I inquired about a stay for next May and they gave me a quote of $150 for a studio. :flower:

Ron Jon's is nothing short of awesome. DH and I plan to stay there again for next May.

So, Wiggles $150 for a studio next May huh? Not too bad. I plan to book that in the next month or 2 - one less thing to worry about and pay off before May!

Hi we stayed there for 2 nights prior our disney cruise in may.
we stayed in a studio apartment which we got for a AA rate of $90
.
It was lovely we had our t daughters 8,9 and it was plenty big enough.
The pools were lovely and we found the staff to be really friendly.
We ate in the restaurant and if your looking for a quick snack ,bugers, club sandwiches etc you cant go wrong.
You are excepionally close to the port infact we could see the top of the wonder from the balcony.
I can reccomend definately and if you would like I have some pics I can send
Chucklechops :wave2:

We stayed at the hotel last week, but unfortunately our experience was not like the others that have posted about it here. The atmosphere seemed a little harried and the staff a bit overworked. We were given bracelets to wear for the pool to identify us as resort guests, but we did not find anyone else wearing them while we were there. And apparently guests have a habit of hoarding the luggage carts the hotel supplies in the morning by keeping them in their rooms until they check out. I think the next time we take a cruise we will just stay on Disney property and just get up a little earlier; this way the magic will stay with us the entire trip.

Anyone who has been to Ron Jon's...please chime in......what were the work out facilities like? I am burning to know what the excercise options are (we are staying there Nov of this coming Fall). :confused3

Thank You! :flower:

Am I mistaken or is Ron Jon's a timeshare? It seems that way from their website? If you can just pay for a studio or villa there (as described on their website), do they bother you to purchase the timeshare?

It is a time share, but they do rental only reservations. I asked specifically if I could rent a room without having to sit through a sales pitch and they said yes. If you have AAA make sure to ask for the discounted rate. I have NOT stayed there - only researched it. But decided to save the extra $75 to spend onboard the Wonder :) . We would have only had 1 day there and it did not seem worth it. Now if we were going to be there for longer, I might have considered it. :)
