Ron Jon Help Please!

We have a very large group cruising July 18 Wonder with reservations at the Radisson for the night before. We're rethinking that decision based on some posts here and thinking about Ron Jon's instead (teen boys would think its cool!) Questions, though: since this is a "time share" type of resort, will we be required to take a tour of the property and/or listen to a timeshare/owner presentation? Also, with code 102, does anyone know if that offer has specific travel dates or deadline to book in order to get the discount? We'd appreciate any feedback you can give us! THANKS!

From what I have read and was told by the booking desk, you are not required to attend a tour etc. to stay at the resort. Stays of less then one week are housed in the pool building and those staying at least a week are in the "ocean front" building. I am not sure of the expiration date for the code but we used it to book for mid-May. I would recommend calling the reservation desk to verify if the code will be valid for your July stay. If memory serves me right, I think I have seen posts from DISers securing a room later then July with the discount.

No, you do not have to listen to a timeshare speech, might be interesting to hear though. We are booked there for mid-May and the coupon was good. I thought I had read that someone had booked for the summer months and got the discount also. Can't hurt to call them and ask.

I just booked last Friday for June 18th and no problem. She said the coupon/code was still good....sounded like they will keep taking them for now to drum up business.

I booked for October 1 and got the discount with code 102.

I just read where someone used the code to book as late as Jan 05'!

I read on the RCCL Cruisecritic board that a large group got an extra discount booking a block of rooms. It's worth asking about!

Sorry to go off subject but I will travelling with my husband and 5 year old son on the July 18th Disney Wonder. Its nice to know someone else on this board will be there too.

You cannot officially book a reservation from the Ron Jon site. However, you can submit a rental request on the site and someone will be back in contact with you. Personally, I have found the phone to be a more efficient way to work with the reservation dept at the Ron Jon resort.

I agree with Minnie's Pal that their turnaround time after leaving a message is very good. I have also had the luck of having a live person answer the phone on occasions too.
