I cancelled Romeo before I got anything, well over a month ago. Surprize, there is an authorization on my CC for it today. I will be calling them tomorrow. I was afraid that this would happen since the person I cancelled with didn't seem to know what to do.

Y'all might want to check on this, too.

I got billed this week too!! :scared1: Called but lady did not seem very informative/helpful. I plan to call back every other day until the charge is removed from my card.

I intended to keep this membership and get 2 more books for my daughter, but haven't heard anything from them. I wonder if anyone over there knows what they are doing??? Now I'm thinking I should just cancel and be done with it.

I called and spoke with Amy, the same person with whom I cancelled. She remembered me (my odd name) and promised that someone from customer service would get back to me today. Which they never did. I will issue a dispute with my bank tomorrow morning. I did ask if this was for the collectibles, but she said it was for the books. It seems odd that I did not get the original shipment, but now I am getting the next 2 books? Pretty expensive for 2 books, too.

I will keep posting here as I get updates.

You have to call. When you do, the person answering will take the info and tell you she will pass it along to customer service. You do not get a cancellation number, either.

Thanks Marcia,
I think I will do that tomorrow! I was going to wait for the next set of books, but with all the trouble everyone is having I think I should just be done with it!

Hoping someone can give me a little more info.. I just got my books today after almost 4 weeks since I signed up.. I called and cancelled.. Do I have to return the books? Was this a free trial where if I return the books I get money back? I just cant remember the deal on this one..

If you did the 1st shipmnet as a trial, you can keep the books, just call to cancel if you don't want any more.

Well, no call from customer service. I did find out that the 800 (or whatever) is answered by an answering service, they can only pass the messages along. You are not calling the company. Since I got no call back, I filed a dispute with my bank. They cancelled my card and are issuing me another, they said that many companies will continue to recharge you, even if you call. I am going to let them handle it. And it;s not the money, it's the idea that I cancelled before they shipped the trial, I never got the stuff and now they are charging me for something I don't want, plus if they shipped it, I haven't gotten it yet.

Maybe Monday will bring better news.
