What an awesome trip! You must be so excited!
A Surrey ride on the Boardwalk? It's a little bit of work, but we giggled and had a ball when we did it a few years back. Mind you, there's a bridge that's not too nice to get up!
We got married at Disney in December:
-DH ordered strawberries and champagne to be delivered to the room one night. That was a lot of fun- and so nice to unwind.
-One day when I stayed at the pool, he slipped back into the room and drew up a warm bbble bath (the tub was a soacking tub) and had concierge get us rose petals.
-I kept finding little romantic cards and notes everywhere before we left- in the underwear drawer, in my car, etc. The best one was, "He took the words right out of my mouth. Good morning, Beautiful!" and when I put the car on "Making Memories of Us" by Keith Urban came on.
-Dinner at the California Grill to watch the fireworks; or Victoria's and Albert's (not sure if you can see fireworks there); or Narcoossee's
-Afternoon swims for the two of you... go back to the room and shower together
-Just to let you know, Victoria's Secrets has a huge clearance sale right now. Go to the main page. Go to "Sale" at the far top right. Go to clearance. Check out some of the "off sizes" (the X-Smalls if you're lucky or the Larges and XLs) as there's more options than the "average American mediums". Might have to pay expedited delivery though
-Getting all gussied up to go out to dinner or dancing at Pleasure Island.
-La Nouba could be a nice addition to an evening out.
-Les Chefs de France has always been so romantic to me! A nice glass of wine or champagne, rich food, and waiters with accents!
-A Couples Massage at the SSR or GF. I think they can come to the room, too.
I think you're going to find just having a trip for the two of you to relax and enjoy each other's company is going to be therapeutic and exactly what Dr. Love ordered. Youve got the family trip coming up, this is the time to spend wrapped up in each other and in your own little world.
Muchos kudos to you for taking the step and keeping the passion burning. Although we don't have kids, this is something we think is so important for us as a couple and as a family.
