I'm wondering which restaurant we should eat at for our annivarsary. We have eaten at San Angel Inn and Les Chefs de France, but I want somewhere else. Do you think Cal Grill during Wishes or Alberts and Victoria's or somewhere else?

My vote is for Victoria & Albert's! It is romantic, the food is amazing, and the whole experience is like no other meal that I've ever had.

If you want to be assured of a romantic atmosphere...then it has to be Victoria and Alberts. Guaranteed to have no crying babies or food throwing 3 year olds. Also, the food, wine and service is impecable.

Agree. California Grill--while a great restaurant--is hardly romantic at fireworks time. It's full of loud kids and adults.

Chef's Table at V&A's would be the ultimate, if you have the funds (and you can secure a booking). V&A's is also excellent, as others have said.

To these suggestions, (not as romantic, but less costly & still good) I would add Bistro de Paris (upstairs from Chefs) - fewer children and more upmarket menu than Chefs.

Also consider Flying Fish or Narcooses (at each of these two restaurants I have spotted Roy Disney and his entourage at an adjacent table - if that's not a reccomendation I'll eat my Mickey Ears)

A few years ago, we had a superb meal (easily equal to V&A) at Woolfgang Puck's upstairs restaurant at Downtown Disney.

Blue Zoo is good, but (in my opinion) lacks atmosphere.

Also, 'The Wave' at the Contemporary and 'Jiko' at Animal Kingdom Lodge each have monthly 'gourmet' evenings, but I understand that bookings are very, very difficult to obtain.

First choice is V&A

Second choice is Bistro de Paris (upstairs in France)

There is no third choice

Note that V&A is one of only 54 restaurants in the entire country rated with five diamonds by AAA. And they do not allow chiuldren under age ten.

Bistro is fine French dining, and they do not have a children's menu. Altough they cannot prevent people from bringing in children, they are discouraged.

1) Absolutely.
2) Well, I would add Shula's as a third choice.
3) Due to DDP, there are no romantic restaurants left.
4) Parents now take kids to places they would not patronize before.
5) Thus, you now get
. . . adults who do not know how to act at fine eateries
. . . kids that do not know how to act at fine eateries
. . . a ruined, or greatly diminished, dining experience
