Me and my girlfriend are staying at the CBR for 6 nights from May 14th-20th. I am trying to book an extra 2 nights for our anniversary as a surprise. So I have been looking at the different resorts and was trying to find a really romantic resort/room for those 2 nights. Does anyone have any suggestions?:confused3

WL. If you really want to splurge then Poly or BW.

It depends on how much $$$$ you want to spend. I think the most romantic moderate is POFQ. There are quite a few deluxes, my favorties would be the Polynesian, WL, Grand Floridian and AKL.

I'd have to vote for POFQ as a moderate. A secluded hot tub, jazz musician in the lounge. You can get a carriage ride at POR.

Deluxe I'd have to say GF. You can even schedule a photographer at GF for the end of your trip.

If your looking to change resorts to be the "surprise factor", my suggestions would be mod: POR (horse drawn carriage ride & mansion side) or del: Poly (enjoying the beach at night &/or boat ride to watch the fireworks over the castle) but if your just looking to do something romantic there are plenty of nice things that can be done at the resort you are staying at!

DELUXE: POLY...the torch lit paths are so romantic at night and watching Wishes from the beach is a very special moment

MODERATE: POR...although I personally don't like the mansions. They remind me of a nursing home. We enjoyed our stay in AB much better.

POR in one of the mansions:love:
I have read that POR was voted one of the most romantic spots at WDR. WE just stayed there and we did not do it I thought the carriage ride looked very romantic. It is a beautiful resort. The mansion section looks like the old south.

What are tha mansions exactly?

POR is split into two sections, AB (Alligator Bayou) and MB (Magnolia Bend). AB is rustic in theming, both inside and outside the rooms, with lush landscaping. MB is themed after the mansions that ran up and down the river back once upon a time. The buildings themselves are modeled after the mansions with well kept grounds featuring fountains, gazebos and the like. It's very pretty at night and ladies really seem to like it. :lovestruc The rooms themselves aren't drastically fancy, but are still nice. The carriage ride is really nice as it takes you all around the resort, including POFQ, during the night when it's really peaceful and romantic. We did this back in '06 and it was fantastic. Check out a site like allears.net to see pics and such. I think one of the users here has a site all about the PO resorts which is really fantastic.

If you can afford the Poly or GF then go for it! Otherwise consider POR as an option.

POFQ!! My husband and I have been married for 18years, and I love our get aways to POFQ without the kiddies!! It is quiet and laid back. I love the boat you can take to downtown disney. It is just a different atmosphere. We love going with the kids, but as far as just for us, def. POFQ! Good luck! I'm sure you will have fun wherever you stay!
