Romantic Lunch Suggestions?

My husband and I are trying to plan a short trip during the Flower and Garden festival in May without kids. Our flight home leaves at 7pm, so I'd like to find a nice place for lunch before we catch ME to the airport. Last trip we went to Sanaa and had a wonderful time overlooking the savanna. Any other suggestions for a romantic grown-up lunch? Our current plan is Tony's overlooking the FoF parade, so maybe we aren't that grown-up after all ;), open to any awesome experiences.

Thanks!

I would pick Chefs de France in Epcot. The setting is extremely charming and the food is wonderful.

Frankly, I can't think of a single place that I'd call romantic at lunch time. Most places in the parks will be packed and noisy. And I wouldn't bank on getting a table with a view of the parade unless you are prepared for a wait.

Kona Cafe or GFC, followed by a stroll might be nice. Or one of the less busy Epcot restaurants, like Spice Road Table or Tokyo Dining. Or a table overlooking the water at the Boathouse at Disney Springs?

I love the idea of Tony's! My DH and I had a really nice lunch on our departure day of our Anniversary trip at the Captain's Grille. (Yacht Club Resort) Not a view to speak of, but a quiet restaurant with excellent food.

I think your experiences will determine the best restaurant. As was already stated, there will likely be many people at lunch and not the most romantic atmosphere. Is there one particular restaurant that you had a wonderful meal at in the past? Did you use to go to an old school dinner when you first started dating? Some may think Beaches and Cream would be the last place to go, but maybe that will bring back some great memories.

I second Chefs de France. We were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance on our first lunch there, enough to make it a regular stop on EPCOT days. :)

Funny...I've only had dinner in France but thought it was like a bright, loud cafeteria. maybe it is different at lunch time?

We like the one in the Pyramid in Mexico. It is dark and we just love vacationing in Mexico, so it is win-win for us.

Resort TS eateries are usually pretty open during lunch times.
. . . Grand Floridian Café (GF)
. . . Sanaa (AKV)
. . . Wave (CR)
. . . Olivia's (OKW)

I would agree with GFC. It won't be as noisy and is a beautiful setting

I would go for sandwiches and dessert at the Boardwalk Bakery. It is very relaxing and peaceful to sit at a table by the water, people watch and watch the Friendship boats come and go.

Raglan Road is quiet at lunch time. I don't know if I'd call it romantic, but the food is wonderful. Morimotos is absolutely beautiful inside and should be slower during lunch services. Even lunch on the water at the Boathouse would be nice.

AGREE completely. If you can get a table on the water at either Mexico or England, those are your best bets for a "couple." The best dining experience I've had at WDW was during the fireworks at a waterside table in England. That was easily better than Victoria & Albert's, at a fifth of the price! :drinking:

We like Monsieur Paul better than Chefs de France these days. We don't normally see many kids upstairs and the restaurant has always been quiet with good food.

The Wave at the Contemporary. We like to sign off our stay with a last visit to MK and CR is right there. The Wave is just very quiet, relaxed. Food and service are excellent. A little out of the way---a hidden gem!

Tutto Gusto wine cellar comes to mind. We love that it's like a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Dark rustic setting, wine and cheese!!

My vote would be either Trails End at Fort Wilderness or Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. They are both in beautiful settings and you usually don't need a reservation and there is typically no wait. Trails End can be difficult to get to since it's near the back of the fort but it is well worth it. Whispering Canyon is known for its antics but they now offer little signs for your table if you don't want to participate.

San Angel Inn is dark, so it gives it an open but yet intimate feel. Eat by candlelight, and the food is good too.
